Description
1800's Novelty type pool table with a "Rosatto-Barry-Street Co." name plate but the construction looks more like an E.J. Came table. It has Mortise and Tennon joints. The table had some restoration but is not perfect. I bought the table approx. 5 or 6 years ago and was keeping it to restore but ended up getting a B.B.C. Medalist ( one of my favorite tables) and no longer have the desire to restore this table. The table was missing one of the side fringes and a small piece of molding over one of the legs, so I had them made (see photos). Most of the veneer is burled (walnut I believe) and the Rail tops are rosewood with Ivory diamonds. The table measures (outside to outside) 59" wide by 109" long and stands 33" to the top of the rail. The slates are 4 piece, 1" thick and are stamped with the same serial numbers as the rails. The table is set up and can be seen in S.E. Pennsylvania, approx 20 miles from Philadelphia. This is for pick up only. Payment is by paypal or cash at pick up. I prefer cash at pick up, No deposit is necessary. If you purchase the table without seeing it, there is no obligation to purchase it if you get here and don't like it. It is a rare table and I am starting it a a low opening price so I don't think you will be disappointed in it. the table just needs pockets, rubber and cloth to make it playable. Note:Looking at the photos, the feet look like they are cut down, they are not. I have pads between the feet and carpet. the the bottoms taper down.
